Day 1
Meeting the capital of Chechnya
Meeting with the guide. Lunch with traditional cuisine. You will taste Chechen national dishes and get acquainted with the group participants.
After some free time , you will go on a tour of the capital of Chechnya – Grozny. Grozny - a hospitable example of a new Chechnya - does not at all give the impression of being "threatening." During the walking tour, you will visit the "Heart of Chechnya" mosque, the Cossack Church of Archangel Michael, and the Memorial Complex of Glory named after Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov.
The program will conclude with a visit to the "Grozny-City" skyscraper complex, where you will ascend to the panoramic platform on the 33rd floor, from where there is a view of the city and its surroundings.
Day 2
Excursion to the high-altitude Kzenoy-Am Lake
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in the city.
At 11 AM, meet with a local guide.
You will drive about 24 kilometers along an asphalt road to the stunning Kharmi Pass, located at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level. After a stop at the pass, where the breathtaking views will leave you in awe, you will start the descent to the lake, which is about 11 km.
You will pass through the village of Kharachoi – a notable settlement due to its location and history. An ancient road connecting Chechnya and Dagestan has passed through it since time immemorial.
Stroll along the shore of Kzenoy-Am Lake.
Lunch in a café on the way, independently.
Return to Grozny, dinner on your own.
Day 3
Transfer to North Ossetia. Tour of the capital of the Republic - the city of Vladikavkaz.
During the tour, you will visit the Center for Folk Art, which has become a true ornament of the capital. The guide will tell you about the secrets of Ossetian craftsmen - potters, jewelers, and wood and leather artisans.
Time for an independent lunch, the guide will recommend the best cafes for traditional cuisine.
After checking into the hotel and a bit of rest with the guide, you will visit the National Museum of the Republic.
After an eventful program, the guide will take you to dinner featuring traditional cuisine in an Ossetian family.
Having tried the local Ossetian beer, you will understand why Ossetians adore not only Ossetian pies but also their homemade beer. It's noteworthy that the beer is brewed and consumed immediately – long-term storage is not feasible due to its natural ingredients.
During a warm gathering, you may expand your understanding of Ossetian cuisine and even try your hand at making Ossetian pies during a masterclass, where the hostess will reveal her secrets and share the traditions and customs of the national feast.
After a hearty dinner, return to the hotel.
Day 4
Active excursion to the Digorsky Gorge. Medieval villages of Khanaz and Zadalisk
A walking tour (about 5 km) through the medieval Ossetian villages of Zadalisk and Khanaz. Listening to the guide's stories about the ancient history of this land, you will visit the medieval settlement of Zadalisk, where you will see the Museum of the Mother – Savior of Alanian Children - Zadalisk Nana.
The program will continue with a visit to the village of Khanaz, known for the castle of the Tsallayev family, which is called "Frigate." During the walk, you will see the Sedanov tower.
If possible, visit the main shrine of the area, the Dygor Izad (Angel of Digora). This ancient sanctuary has been revered by the Digor people since time immemorial, and rituals and cult meals are still held there today.
Day 5
Excursion to Magas. Transfer to mountainous Ingushetia
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Check out of the hotel by noon (bags in storage).
Transfer to the new capital of the Republic of Ingushetia - Magas. Magas is a young city designed specifically to be the capital.
Check into your chosen category hotel's room. You will have time for lunch (on your own) at the hotel's café, where we recommend trying national flatbreads chIapilgash and khyngalish.
Gathering of the group in the hotel lobby with the guide, auto-walking excursion around the city. During the program, you will visit the arch "Alanian Gate," the 100-meter Tower of Concord, and the highest ethnographic museum in the world. You will ascend to one of the highest observation points in the North Caucasus via stairs.
During the tour, you will visit a felt carpet workshop, where you will get acquainted with the art of carpet-making – one of the folk crafts expressing the uniqueness of traditional Ingush culture.
Dinner on your own at a city café or hotel, free time.
Day 6
The Beauty of Mountainous Ingushetia
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide.
Departure to Mountain Ingushetia to the Armkhi resort. Pass through the border post, document check (for CIS citizens and foreigners, passage to the border area is possible with border passes issued 45 days in advance). A rightful pearl of Ingushetia is the Dzheyrah Gorge. It contains 92 historical monuments, including the famous Ingush battle towers.
After the rest, you will have a two-hour walk to the Erzi castle complex. In Ingush, "erzi" means "eagle".
Arrival at the Armkhi resort, check into your chosen category hotel, and a brief rest. Lunch at the hotel café (included).
After lunch, you can continue the excursion, visiting the inside of the classic Ingush tower in Dzheyrah (the ancestral tower of the Tsur family) and learn the secrets of its construction. The program will continue with a visit to the Furtoug Waterfall, which was once visited by D.I. Mendeleev, and you will also visit the museum of the revolutionary Gapur Akhriev (the life of the people in the 19th-20th centuries), opened even during Soviet times.
A visit to a local hunter’s home (if possible). After the busy program, return to the hotel. Free time at the resort: visit the wellness complex (sauna, bath, pool) at your leisure.
Day 7
Excursion to the tower complexes of EgiKal and Vovnushki
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Meeting with the guide.
Early departure on the route: Tsei-Loam Pass - EgiKal – Vovnushki – Tkhaba-erdy Temple. The road passes through the Tsei-Loam Pass (height 2100m), from which a magnificent panorama of the Greater Caucasus Range opens, with views of Mount Kazbek. On the descent from the pass, the Sacred Mountain Tsei-Loam (3171m) will reveal itself in all its glory - the "Ingush Olympus".
A walk from the ruins of the Keli castle, where you can take inspiring photos of Mount Tsei-Loam and the Targim basin.
A stop at the observation deck, from where you will see the medieval center of Ingushetia – EgiKal. It is believed that it was the cultural, political, and economic center of the Middle Ages.
The program will continue with a visit to one of the most vibrant and exotic tower complexes among the defensive structures of ancient Ingushetia. The Vovnushki towers attract attention from afar; they are located in a picturesque gorge of the Guloy Hi River against the backdrop of impressive cliffs and the Caucasian ridges.
After lunch, you will visit the oldest Christian temple in Russia - Tkhaba-Erdy in the Assin Gorge, on the right tributary of the Assa River, near the border with Georgia. The date of construction of this temple varies in different studies within a range of 700 years, from the VIII to XIV centuries.
Day 8
Departure from the program
Group transfer (without a guide) to Vladikavkaz airport** for flights departing after 12:00 PM.
